Clinical Consultation
With extensive experience as a trauma-informed social worker and trauma therapist, I specialize in supporting therapists hone their skills, improve their case conceptualization, and create innovation that improves satisfaction and meaning in their work.
I am an intersectional therapist and consultant, where we will examine the role that marginalization has in your client’s lives, and the impact of your own identities and social location in your work. My consultation services are curated to your specific needs, whether that be general clinical consultation, new private practice development, EMDR consultation or EMDR certification.
I have worked in many different settings, including community-based services, hospital outpatient programs, acute care, and family health teams. I have a nuanced understanding of the impact of systemic issues in clinical settings that can create challenges and limitations in clinical work. These systemic challenges are often risk factors for burnout and compassion fatigue and will be addressed in the consultation process when it is evident.
Consultation is an opportunity to deepen your clinical skills and is an important act of self-care to process the emotional experience of the work and build your resilience as a therapist.
