I am a registered Social Worker with over 15 years experience working in the field of mental health and trauma. I have a Masters in Social Work (McMaster University, 2004), Bachelor of Social Work (McMaster University, 1996) and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Crime and Deviance from the University of Toronto. I believe that staying current with mental health research is important, and have attended many conferences and workshops at accredited training institutions.

I have worked in a variety of settings ranging from community organizations, hospital based programs, and doctor’s offices with those of all ages and walks of life. I am passionate about working with people in their journey towards healing and recovery from difficult life experiences. Developing a therapeutic relationship with you based on trust, respect and compassion is very important to me. I believe that our mind, body and spirit are aligned towards healing and my role is to assist that process using research-proven strategies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also an incredibly proud mother to my young son who shows me more about the human experience every day than I ever thought possible.
